Frequently Asked Questions
We typically use premium brands such as Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, and Dulux Trade. We can also work with your preferred brand if you have specific requirements.
We use professional dust sheets, masking tape, and protective coverings to keep your belongings and floors completely protected throughout the job.
Yes, we can provide colour advice and even arrange test pots to help you choose the perfect colours for your space.
A typical bedroom or living room takes two to three days including preparation and proper drying time between coats. Rooms with a lot of woodwork, damaged walls, or high ceilings take longer. We give you a realistic schedule when we quote rather than an optimistic one.
No. We move and cover furniture as part of the job and put it back afterwards. If there is anything fragile or particularly valuable you would rather handle yourself, just tell us before we start.
Filling, sanding, caulking, spot priming, and protecting floors and furniture are all included as standard. If a wall needs replastering, or there is damp behind the decoration, we will tell you at the quote stage rather than painting over it and letting it come back through.
Exterior coatings need dry conditions and temperatures above roughly 5°C to cure properly, so deep winter is rarely sensible. We can often work through mild, settled spells, but we would rather reschedule than apply a finish that will not last.
Water-based paint is touch-dry within a couple of hours and the room is normally usable the same evening. Oil-based woodwork takes longer to harden, so we would suggest leaving it a day before pushing furniture back against freshly painted skirting.
Yes, including lining paper, patterned papers and feature walls. Preparation matters even more with paper than with paint, so we will tell you whether the wall needs lining first rather than hanging straight onto a poor surface.
